Hello, everyone! I'm physical therapist Gao Yilun. There are a few things to keep in mind when doing shoulder fascia relaxation exercises. Each shoulder stretching exercise should be held for 10 to 15 seconds to allow the muscles to relax before moving on to the next round. Holding the stretch for too long can cause the muscles to constantly stay in a stretched state. At this point, your body may send signals to the brain that the muscles are constantly being lengthened, which can actually make the muscles tighter instead of more relaxed.
