I personally use a 45mm white powder coated xpole. However, I recommend 45mm chrome xpole for beginners (as long as you are not allergic to chrome). Chrome is the industry standard in the US so it is helpful to get used to that material before moving onto others. No drilling into the ceiling or floor required and very SAFE!
