Lindy was a stray dog in a remote community in Canada and was scheduled to be shot. At only ten months old, she had had a litter of puppies, who were all killed by a snow plough. Lindy had to be sedated just to get her into a kennel so she could be sent on a plane to the city. She spent 24 hours in the cage. I picked her up from the airport and brought her straight to the vet. She was found to be severely malnourished, infested with tapeworms, and suffering from a general infection. She was prescribed medication and then I took her home to foster her. Here are Lindy’s first two weeks in rescue.
