I am saddened to tell everyone that we did have to say goodbye to Buddha this past weekend. As the day progressed on Friday it was very clear to me that it was his time to go. He spent a beautiful last day on the catio and also lying in my lap.

He fought a fierce battle with cancer and his warrior spirit stuck around for his long as he could do, til he had used up all his nine lives. I am absolutely positive that Yogi Otto was there to greet him as he crossed the rainbow bridge. He will be greatly missed but he will never be forgotten.

I am so thankful for all the love and kind words and prayers that team Buddha has shown us over these past 18 months. Buddha was such a special cat and he was loved by so many people. I promise that he will continue to be a positive symbol for black cats everywhere. He changed all of our lives here at the Furball house when he came to live with us. I am a better person for having known such a cat as Buddha.

The tenacious spirit that he has shown these past 14 months as he lived with cancer was so unbelievable. I really thought he live forever, and maybe in someways he will.
