Now it's time to dress up the cake. No Fondant No Modeling chocolate

haven't we all dressed up like capes with mothers' scarves when we were kids?
I even wore a blanket as a dress. Ah~ Such happy memories. Haha.

This time, I've really dressed up my lovely cake. I made a moist, soft, not overly sweet, and delightful mocha chocolate cake, and tried making a chocolate cape to put on it.

Yippee! Today's baking was thrilling again.

How did I make the cape? Not with fondant or modeling chocolate.

Heated heavy cream 90g
Instant coffee 6g
Milk chocolate 53g
Heavy cream 270g
Sugar 10g
Kahlua 5g

♥ Mocha Chocolate Genoise
Eggs 150g
Sugar 80g
Corn syrup 6g
Salt 1g
Cake flour 63g
Almond flour 17g
Cocoa powder 6g
Milk 33g
Instant coffee 4g
Vanilla extract 4g
Butter 20g

♥ Baileys Syrup
Water 60g
Sugar 20g
Baileys 6g

♥ Chocolate Cape
Water 58g
Powdered gelatin 16g
Milk chocolate 29g
Sugar 33g
Edible glycerin (or corn syrup) 5g

♥ Dark Chocolate Ganache
Dark chocolate 20g
Heated heavy cream (80℃) 20g
* After mixing chocolate into heated cream, let it cool down. Use when it reaches a creamy consistency suitable for piping.
