Every RV is going to have certain things you wished were different. Here's what we did different.
I’m always looking for ways to make our RV better and more comfortable for full time living. It takes time—living and traveling in an RV—to figure out what needs to be done, what you’d like to change and then upgrading certain things to make living and driving your RV a whole lot easier. Personally, I like making changes to our RV, to make it look better, handle better, feel more homey and make life easier. I was the same way when we owned our bricks & sticks home.
Those of you who follow our channel know I spent 18 months getting our coach ready to go full time. I could literally make a Netflix series that would have more seasons than "The Walking Dead" covering all what I did during that time. But in this video, we carved out 10 of them that really has made living in our RV much easier.
These 10 RV UPGRADES are:
• Swapping out furniture and building a office desk area to work from
• Replacing our main awning, slide toppers and adding pull out window awnings
Had our awnings & topper work done here: http://stonevos.com/
• Adding inside window tinting in the RV cabin area and window shades outside
were made here: https://rvsunscreenco.com/
• Building storage drawers under our dining booth. Find heavy duty drawer rails here: https://www.rockler.com/hardware/draw...
• Designing a fast and easy way to hook up our water and water softener in the wet bay

• Building a shoe rack and installing shelving in Joanie’s wardrobe closet
• Replacing the factory plastic sink with a large, single basin, stainless steel sink
• Installing roof vent covers so we can always leave our vents open to have a nice breeze in the RV and not worry about rain
• Insulating multiple areas throughout the RV to make it easier to cool in the summer and keep it warm in the winter: • INSULATE, HEAT & PROTECT • Key to ...
• Installing several bolt on chassis upgrades on our Class A motorhome that sits on a F53 chassis
• Class A, Motorhome Handling Upgrades ...
Every one of these RV upgrades took time to think it through, buy what was needed and then just take the time to make it happen. Those of you who watch our channel know that I constantly encourage all of you not be afraid or be intimidated to tackle the maintenance items your RV needs all the time. The same goes for tackling these type of jobs too. “You guys can do these things”. It’s not that difficult, you’ll have a sense of pride when it’s all complete and you’ll save a ton of money by doing DIY.

We are in no way experts or professional mechanics. But being a journeyman millwright for years & being EX Military, has proven to be very helpful in my lifetime learning how to care for & maintain all sorts of machinery & equipment like: helicopters, airplanes, tanks, motorcycles & many types of other vehicles. That, along with 18 months preparing & upgrading our RV before we went full time, & now traveling for several years has gained us a lot of knowledge. Regardless of what we recommend, consult a professional if you're unsure about working on your RV. Work you perform or products you purchase based on any information we provide is at your own risk.
