When I realised that a lot of my symptoms were due to candida overgrowth, little did I know that it was just another symptom. Treating it only gave me temporary relief, and that's because I was missing the root cause (once again): heavy metal toxicity, especially mercury. The link between candida and heavy metals was a huge breakthrough for me, it made the biggest difference, yet I realise that very few people, and even health practitioners, are aware of it.
