It was a day for Shabani!
After breakfast, he was playing nicely with his son Kiyomasa.
But then Kiyomasa was alone with Nene and followed Ai around.
When Shabani saw Kiyomasa messing with Nene, he rushed toward Kiyomasa, beating chest.
He then lunged at Nene as well, slapping her on the back.
He seemed to have made everyone realize who the boss of this herd is.
Shabani was very cool on this day!
Later, Nene's screams could be heard in the distance. Perhaps Annie had messed with her.

Shabani was born in the Appenheul Primate Park, Netherlands.
Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.
