Four years ago, I lost a significant amount of weight through a highcarbohydrate, lowfat WHOLEfood vegan diet without strenuous exercise or calorie reduction. This is the first time in my life that I have maintained my results.

How Freelee’s Diet Revolution Saved My Life
In the video, I share my transformative journey from struggling with traditional dieting methods to adopting a whole food, highcarbohydrate, lowfat vegan diet. Previously, I was trapped in a cycle of calorie restriction, overexercising, and battling with cravings and binge eating, which only led to temporary weight loss, frustration, depression, and mood swings. My life changed dramatically when I encountered the dietary approach promoted by Freelee, The Banana Girl, which emphasized eating highcarb, lowfat, whole plantbased foods like bananas, dates, potatoes, rice, and other fruits.

This diet allowed me to improve my wellbeing despite gaining weight, beating the cravings, and staying vegan. When you diet by severely restricting calories, your body responds by slowing down your metabolism as a survival mechanism. This metabolic adaptation helps conserve energy during periods of food scarcity. However, once you return to normal eating, even if it's not excessive, your sloweddown metabolism isn't able to process the calories as efficiently as before. As a result, more of these calories are stored as fat, leading to weight gain. This rebound weight gain is often more than what was initially lost, as the body also tries to prepare for potential future shortages by storing extra energy. This cycle can be frustrating and demoralizing, making it difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

So I did gain a lot of weight and after some years I've lost it. Now I can eat as much as I care for, to reach satiety, never restrict portions, carbs, or calories again, and keep my lean body without intense exercise routines.

A highcarb, lowfat, whole foods plantbased vegan diet with enough calorie intake at least 2500 calories for women and at least 3000 calories for men is one of the most sustainable ways to go and stay vegan. This diet not only allowed me to eat abundantly without feeling deprived but also helped me stay lean and healthy without the use of appetite suppressants like coffee or engaging in excessive exercise. I focus on eating foods like bananas, potatoes, and rice, which provide satisfying bulk without excessive calories, aligning with our body's natural preference for carbohydrates for energy.

I now dedicate myself to helping others adopt this healthy, sustainable diet to achieve their best, most vibrant selves without cravings or the yoyo dieting cycle. I create content to support and guide others in making this lifestyle change, emphasizing the benefits of a diet rich in natural, lowcaloriedensity foods.
