The study I was referring to in the video was conducted by Ancel Keys back in the II World War and is known as Starvation Study or Minnesota Starvation Experiment https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneso...

After just a few weeks of 1800 calories/day, those people in the experiment became obsessed with foods, recipes, cooking magazines, food porn is called.

They were craving all the time. Some gave up the study. Some became aggressive. Some went to shoplift and binge on those stolen groceries. And all became irritable, moody, even depressed.

After the experiment ended, it took them around 2 years to recover from that regimen of calorie deficit, their intake was for months over 5000 calories/day, and they gained weight. They reached that point when they didn’t feel that hungry anymore and stopped putting on more weight. Then, they plateau after some months and in the end, after consistently feeding their accumulated hunger, the metabolism adapted to more calories and they started losing weight.

Let me know in the comments if you want me to go indepth with the conclusions of that study and I'll create content on the topic.

Ok, now you might wonder: How Long Will It Take Me to Lose Weight on a HighCarb PlantBased Vegan Diet?

Many people are curious about the timeframe for weight loss on a highcarb, plantbased vegan diet. With growing interest in plantbased lifestyles, people often wonder: How long will it take me to see results on this dietary approach? Let's explore the journey to shedding pounds while embracing this nutritional path.

There are two main situations:
The first one
If you are coming after consistently eating without fearing calories, with no calorie deficit, no portion control, and no “move more and eat less” approach, you’ll start dropping the pounds from the first week when you switch from your current diet to this WHOLE HighCarb LowFat PlantBased Diet. You will continue to eat without cutting calories down, you will eat in abundance, AND you will start losing weight. This is because these plants fruits, vegetables, starchy vegetables, whole grains, and whole legumes are rich in fiber and water which both are 0 calories, and low in fat which is 9 calories/gram. So you removed all the calorie surplus you had on your previous lifestyle.

You also lose weight due to healing your body, reversing inflammation, balancing your hormones, detoxifying your colon, liver, and the body, nurturing your cells, and healing all the other imbalances you might have and are not aware of.

When you eat enough calories from the right food, you not only HONOUR YOUR HUNGER, but also bring so much nutrition with those calories. The right nutrition for our species. All these plants, high in carbs and low in fat, have the highest density of nutrition per calorie. Therefore, they are not only low in calorie density, but very dense in minerals, vitamins, and other micronutrients. Plus, being plants, they have compounds found only in them, and lacking in animal products. Phytosterols, flavonoids, antioxidants, all the good guys we need in our body, that promote health and increase therefore longevity. That is why you reverse all the chronic conditions foodrelated when you go Highcarb LowFat WHOLE Plant Based Vegan.

The second one
If you come right after or shortly after a calorie deficit, if you are currently trapped in this mindset of portion control and cutting down calories and carbs, means your metabolism is slowed down. And, like the subjects in that experiment I mentioned above, you are in debt with your body. You owe it some calories.

So you will first satisfy all the hunger you accumulated, and yes, with all those calories, you will PUT ON WEIGHT. Only then, after months or even years of eating to satiety from these Whole HighCarb LowFat PlantBased foods, you will start losing weight. Because you reset your metabolism. And healed some of your illnesses. If you are in this case and need more help and info from me, let me know in the comments. I was there as well and I learned a thing or two.
