In 2023, we captured the second nesting attempt of the Japanese Tit in 3D using a camera and compiled it into a single video. This video covers the entire journey from nestbuilding to fledging. Due to its length, we recommend watching it in multiple sittings.

In 2023, the Japanese Tit couple in the second nesting box were a chatty and harmonious pair. They laid seven eggs, and it took 48 hours for all of them to hatch. Consequently, the growth of the lasthatched chick was delayed. Perhaps due to this, the fledging of one chick lagged behind. When only one chick remained in the nest box, it was a nervewracking moment, but... the next morning, the parents came to retrieve it, and it managed to fledge somehow. However, immediately after fledging, a minor issue occurred, and the smooth departure was hindered. For details, you can refer to the usual video covering the fledging phase.
