Nest Box Observation 2024, Ep.09, April 1419

This video shows the activity in Nest Box #2, occupied by a pair of Varied Tits, from the 8th to the 13th day of observation. The Japanese Tits that had been repeatedly intruding into Nest Box #2 have decided to move into Nest Box #1. Just when I thought things would calm down, another pair of Japanese Tits started invading Nest Box #2! It seems this nest box is a popular choice.

The Varied Tit couple may have become too relaxed, as they often leave the nest box unattended, and during one of these absences, the Japanese Tits began renovating the nest!

The nightmare from two years ago is back... When a Coal Tit remodeled a Japanese Tit's nest in the past, the issue was quickly resolved, but this Japanese Tit seems determined to claim Nest Box #2, and they aren't giving up easily... The story becomes even more intriguing... (To be continued)
