Arthritis Ireland hosted a webinar entitled 'Physical activity, exercise and arthritis busting some common myths'; the second part in our 3 part lunchtime webinar series we held during National Arthritis Week 2024. We were joined by Professor Helen French, Associate Professor in Physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dublin, Ireland.
This webinar explored the myth that physical activity is bad for those who live with arthritis. In fact, it plays a crucial role in strengthening your muscles, tendons, and bones, which in turn supports joints. The webinar also discussed strategies for incorporating physical activity into everyday life and the types of exercise suitable for those living with arthritis.
