Does Walking Help Knee Pain?

Want to try walking to help your knee problem? Make sure you’re doing it right so that you don’t make your knee problem worse!

Walking is frequently recommended by doctors and other healthcare professionals when patients have problems like knee arthritis, patella for moral pain syndrome, meniscus tears, torn ligaments, and torn tendons.

Even after having a knee replacement, orthopedic surgeons frequently tell their patients to go walking to exercise their knees.

And it makes sense that walking would be a good exercise for a knee problem since you would be using your knee muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage when you go walking.

But many times, we have patients in the clinic with a knee injury that have said that their knee problem gets worse when they are walking for exercise
