The whitebreasted waterhen is a waterbird of the rail and crake family, Rallidae, that is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia. They are dark slaty birds with a clean white face, breast and belly.

Today it rained so long that all the eggs floated on the flood waters. Mother bird then tries to find more leaves to add to the nest to make all eggs float safely away from the water.
