This video provides an easy to follow, step by step walkthrough of the DayOne type integrations and AddOns that will be needed for a comprehensive and custom Smart Home using Home Assistant on Raspberry Pi. We have eliminated the mysteries of installing and integrating the Officially UnOfficial Home Assistant Community Store (HACS), where volunteers and contributors around the world continue to create awesome tools, cards and integrations for our use!

This walkthrough includes:
Installation of the official Home Assistant Addons File Editor, Samba Share, and Open SSH Terminal. We will authorize a GitHub connection to HACS, load a few critical custom elements such as the MiniGraph Card, MiniMedia Player, Text Element and Clock Cards, and finish with an OpenWeatherMap API specific to our geographic location.
