In this video I sort out a John deere headstock. The headstock had already had a dodgy repair before which wasn’t done to a very high standard resulting in it pulling itself to bits.
The old parts were cut off using the 9” grinder. New parts were cnc plasma cut from 15mm plate. Both sides weld prepped and then welded into position.
After all the welding was done, the new hole was line bored back out to original size.
The main pivot pin holes were also very worn so they were cleaned up, built up with weld and then also line bored back out to standard size.
