Follow

My first year of moving out of my mom's house, I’ve never spent so much money and walked out of the grocery store with nothing. I would spend 200 and 300 and not understand what the head I was buying.

1. Stop Buying Trash
I used to be a big fan of buying pancakes, yogurts, juices/drinks, mozzarella sticks and cakes and so on
you know things you buy and you store in the fridge and you can just air fry whenever you want
and I thought I was really being smart but I was being shortsided on the side of effects of my health, and I was also being shortsided with the amount of extra money that would cost

So my advice is:
look around your kitchen and start looking at everything thing that’s process
that you could potentially not buy at all
and things that you have but you don’t really need

2. The best Shopping List, the List of Necessities
Now, I’ve learned something from my Mom and she learned this from her Mom
And basically, when it comes to buying food, you buy what you need first, and then if their money is left over you buy what you want
Most people just assume that because it is groceries, everything is needed but that’s not true

Here are the Thigns you need:
Carbs
Proteins
Vitamins and nutrition
Water

That’s why when you go to so many Third World Counties
Their national dishes tend to have all of those things
For example, the Dominican Republic
They call it the Flag, and i'ts literally White rice, Beef, Beans, and some veggies
And when you look at those ingredients they are not expenses to actually purchase and they contain all the things you need

Ps. Variety Matters
But it's doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to do it
There are a lot of meal plans to make with good foods

3. This is my Secret Sauce ( Make a Menu and Get Ideas from Moms )
Variety doesn’t mean you eat something different all the time, it just means you usually don’t eat the same things all the time
So having your regular meals that can be expected is great, but having some changes is also good

Menu:
A menu makes a simple to know what you need to cook
It makes it simple to get a handle on a budget
And it makes things more predictable

Ideas from Moms:
Look up a Mom meal plan for a big family on a budget
And you will see how creative moms can get to feed their kids correctly without breaking the bank
That’s my advice to you guys

Ps. Remember, you can make your own juice, and whenever you want something that you don’t need, only buy after you get the necessities

Here are some crazy examples of how much food you can get with $300 dollars
Eggs: 1714 eggs at 2.10 the dozen
Chicken: 42 whole chicken at 7$ a chicken
Rice: 375 lbs of rice at
Beef: 54 pounds of ground beef $5.50 per pound
Apples: 150 pounds at 2$ per pound

Forget: cereal and all that garbage
