KOHAKUTO

1. Oil on the silicone mold and the container.
2. Sprinkle agar agar powder over the water and mix well.
3. Bring to a simmer over low heat until it becomes clear and begins to boil.
4. Turn off the heat, add sugar and mix well.
5. Boil for 78 minutes over medium heat, stirring with a spatula. (Boil the syrup until becomes a little thick and air bubbles form and it drops slowly)
6. Pour the mixture into the container, add food coloring, and mix.
7. Pour the mixture into the silicone mold, add food coloring.
8. Place them into the fridge for 23 hours until set.
9. Use a knife to remove the edge from the container carefully.
10. Cut it to the shapes you want.
11. Place them on baking paper and let dry at room temperature for 35 days.

Ingredients

Water 200g
Agar agar powder 5g
Sugar 300g
Some food coloring
Some oil (for coating)
