I needed:
1 tbsp. lard, can be replaced with vegetable oil
500 g beef, pork
2 onions, more is possible! Don’t spoil the dish with onions
1 carrot
500 g sauerkraut, next time I’ll add a couple of pickles
1 cup (330m) dry pearl barley, soaked in cold water overnight
salt
peppercorns
Bay leaf
