The Aviron Strong Series Rower is the brand’s premium model. On the 22” touch screen, video gamified content, races, guided workouts, virtual rowing, and app streaming from Netflix is available with a subscription. You can use the Aviron Rower without a subscription, but I think the content definitely adds value to the rower.

As far as the rower itself, it has some really thoughtful features that make it appropriate for most people. The Strong Series handles users up to 507 lbs and users up to 6’8”. It is a little shorter than the Impact Series Rower without sacrificing usability.

The construction is made out of steel and aluminum. So, it’s lightweight at 114 lbs, but it feels incredibly sturdy and smooth to use. The rail is low at about 10” high, but the seat is tall at 20” high. This makes it really easy to get on and off of but requires less effort for you to lift your legs over the rail. So, if you have mobility issues, the Strong Series from Aviron is a great option. We also have the upgraded Cloud Seat which is softer than the standard seat so it’s comfortable to sit on.

Another thoughtful feature is the fourway adjustable pedals. They adjust vertically to fit various shoe sizes and they adjust laterally to fit different builds and hip widths. This way if you prefer to row with narrower or wider pedals, you have the option. The hand crank on the right side adjusts the pedals in and out and offers about a 4” range of adjustability.

We love the lightly padded rounded handle. You can purchase the handle with adjustment buttons for the resistance to adjust while you row without having to stop. The handle is connected to the flywheel with a belt drive so it’s quiet, smooth, and requires less maintenance than chains.

The Aviron Strong Series Rower is a hybrid rower that uses air and magnetic resistance. The flywheel is a fan with vents that suck in air when you row to create resistance to pull against. There are also 16 levels of resistance to use for even more tension, too.

The Aviron Rower does make some noise when you’re rowing so it might not be best for places like apartments or condos, but if you’re looking for a comfortable rower that offers really fun and engaging content, this one is it.
