Relaxing morning walk at Lumpini Park (สวนลุมพินี) located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The park was created in 1925 by King Rama VI, who named it after Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Nepal. This large park is Bangkok's version of "Central Park" in New York City. It covers an area of 360 rai (142 acres) and has a variety of attractions for visitors such as a large artificial lake with fountains and swan paddle boat rentals, a public library, playground, a clock tower, and a cultural center. The park is popular among locals and tourists who enjoy walking, jogging, cycling, boating, exercising and relaxing in the green space. Lumpini Park is also home to some wildlife, such as monitor lizards, turtles, squirrels, and birds.
