In 1998, a mascot was created for the Japanese public broadcasting company NHK, and a variety of stop motion shorts of the character would be aired on their network. In the early to mid 2000’s, the character would amass a large cult following worldwide due to the internet, so much so that the character would have following shorts made about him (broadcasting not only in Japan but also globally). Ever since the early 2010’s, the character has essentially gone missing in action, and many over the years have wondered Whatever Happened to DomoKun?
