Victoria's Largest 3.5kg Aussie Double Hamburger Challenge Has Had Only 2 Winners in 15 Years!! American professional eater Randy Santel vs The Peninsula Hotel's massive 3.5kg Big Double Hamburger Challenge, hosted by The Peninsula HotelMotel in Newcomb, Victoria, Australia to the southwest of Melbourne, which is a suburb of Geelong, Victoria!! My beautiful girlfriend @KatinaEatsKilos and I started our giant 2.5 month long 2023 Australia Tour back in early February 2023. We landed first into Sydney, New South Wales and opened up the trip by attempting 10 different man vs food restaurant eating challenges around the state of New South Wales. Next, we headed south to Hobart, Tasmania where I attempted two delicious food challenges. Then we headed to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia where I attempted seven Australian competitive eating challenges. For food challenge #4, I headed southwest of Melbourne to Newcomb, Geelong, so I could attempt the massive 3.5kg Big Double Hamburger Challenge, hosted by The Peninsula HotelMotel. The giant 7.7lb burger challenge has been available for more than 15 years, with only 2 successful finishers / winners. There are two huge 1.1kg Australian beef hamburger patties, prepared well done so the meat has been cooked all the way through with no moisture or flavorful juices remaining. They are stacked and layered with 5 slices of cheese and lots of bacon strips on each burger patty, plus sauces and healthy vegetables lettuce and tomato slices. There is a 1kg (2.2lb) freshly prepared bun split into thirds so there is a top, middle, and bottom bun. Brave challengers are allowed 1 hour to finish everything. Winners earn the $35 AUD Aussie double cheeseburger meal free plus a sweet tshirt, $100 AUD cash, and a spot on the Wall of Fame. Beat the current time record and they double the cash prize up to $200 AUD!! BIG thanks to everyone with The Peninsula Hotel in Newcomb, Geelong for the food, drinks, and hospitality!!
