For being the largest yacht I’ve ever ungrounded before, this job was far easier than I was expecting it to be. In fact, this was one of the easier ungroundings of any size I’ve had to do. Realistically, he probably could’ve gotten himself free by the time I arrived on scene…but since it wasn’t going to cost him anything (since he had a TowBoat US membership), why would he risk damaging his running gear when he knew help was on the way?
Anyways, the area around Green Marker 39 just south of Jewfish Key has become quite a popular area to get stuck recently. I’ve probably had half a dozen or so groundings right in this area over the last couple of months or so
