Florida Gulf Coast Marine Services

It’s always important to check the marine weather forecast before heading out on a boat so you have an idea of what the weather will be like, but that does not mean the weather will be as forecasted! The forecast had called for 2530kt winds out of the NE overnight but instead, we got 40kts gusting to 50kts out of the NW. This caused an unexpected storm surge that caught a lot of boat owners off guard, causing boats to float off lifts, drag anchors, and break dock lines. This was the first of 4 jobs I dealt with on this notsobeautiful day that started at 8:30am and lasted until 9pm
