Our lives are often disconnected from the experiences of others. In this personal talk, high school student, Hattie Seten shares how her world collided with realities on the other side of the world. Through this experience, she shares how we can open our minds to be more empathetic towards other individuals.

Hattie Seten is a high school student in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is active in speech and has used her experience exploring the world digitally to influence her writing and speaking opportunities.
