The American Shorthair cat is one of the healthiest breeds of cat. It has a round head with a muscular and compact body. Their coats and eyes come in a large variety of colors. The shorthair cat first arrived in America in the 17th century with the earliest settlers. They are superb mouse hunters. Their average lifespan is 15 to 20 years. The American Shorthair is very intelligent and likes to learn tricks.
