A cultural asset of Yilan County a 5meterhigh clay statue of the Giant Buddha. It is enshrined in Yuanshan Beihou Temple, known as "the most beautiful temple in Yilan" and "Cingsio Temple of Yilan Version". It is a rare Tangdynasty style Buddhist temple building in Taiwan.
