When you spot a kitten meowing on the street, you may feel sympathy for her and consider adopting it. At this point, you need to make sure she is definitely abandoned. If her mom cat hasn't returned for about 8 to 12 hours and she doesn't look good with eyes discharge, matted fur and so on, she could be considered an abandoned kitten. Even if she might need to be rescued, think carefully about whether you can take care of her for the rest of her life.
