EVERYONE STARTS SOMEWHERE.

If you've followed this channel closely, you've noticed that my wife, Jennifer pops up in quite a few of the videos, but she's almost never on camera while riding. That changes now!

Jen has been riding MTB for a little over a year now. This time last year, there were green trails that really made her nervous. As she's gotten to ride lots of different places and trails, her confidence has continued to grow and there has been a lot of progression. For mountain bikers, progression is a huge thing no matter what level the rider is. In this case, her progression has led to the point where she is wanting to ride some of the more difficult trails we encounter, ESPECIALLY trails that she helped build!

All of this leads us to this video. Jen has worked on Cannonball Run quite a bit. She loves this trail, but from the day we started cutting in the upper section, she's bee really intimidated by the overall steepness and some of the technical rock features. She pushed that fear aside, though, and decided to give it a go. You have to start somewhere! I decided to roll the GoPro while we went down and give her some instruction along the way. What you'll see in the video is how a rider can ride and deal with trails that are outside of their comfort zone. There's nothing wrong with dabbing! So if this video gives one rider the confidence to go and try a trail they've wanted to ride, but have been intimidated by, we'll call that a huge success! Enjoy.
