Since I moved to Southern Oregon in June of '22, I've been trying to get into a solid and regular riding schedule like I had back in California. One place that has kept my legs somewhat in shape is "Mountain of the Rogue" (aka MOTR) in Rogue River, OR. It's less than 20 minutes from my house. With work being unpredictable and afternoon temps soaring July September, I fell into a little rhythm of hitting MOTR in the mornings. As I mention in the video, it's right off of I5 and really easy to access. The parking lot was just expanded and repaved and there are bathrooms. Every ride at MOTR starts with a climb up Rat Pack. There are several points you can get off and head downward. The route I took in this video is what has been working well for me lately. It's roughly a 30minute climb to start, then 10 minutes down. All in all, I get a good climb and some really fun downhill in under 45 minutes and I can get along with the rest of the day. Of course, if you have the time, there are a bunch of different route options within the same trail system. I'll cover some of that in a future video.
