South of Puerto Vallarta, we find one of the most beautiful landscapes that Banderas Bay has to offer the world: Cabo Corrientes. Majestic mountains descend and submerge into the Mexican Pacific coast, with beaches bathed in golden sand and emerald waters. Here nature lovers come together for an unparalleled experience.

Access to the towns of Ánimas and Quimixto is only possible by water taxi, also known as “panga”, since the communities are sheltered by the mountains that line the coast of Jalisco.

The excursion is quite an adventure, with a boat ride and a walk along the most famous beaches in the south of Banderas Bay.

We start our trail at Playa Las Ánimas, heading towards the Río La Puerta waterfall in Quimixto. Always surrounded by lush vegetation, among flowers, fig trees, palm trees and fruit trees, home to beautiful birds, easy to spot with their songs that attract anyone.
