How to make Salzburger Nockerl | Austrian dessert Episode 10
How to cook Salzburger Nockerl Austrian dessert.

Salzburger Nockerl is a traditional Austrian dessert. It is a light and fluffy dessert that is perfect for a special occasion. It is also a popular dessert in Austria, and can be found in many restaurants and cafes.

This recipe was tricky because while trying to make the peaks for the nockerl it deflated right after taking it out of the oven. So be sure to use a smaller oven pan instead so It will now spread as you put the mixture. And make sure to serve the dish right away as it will deflate as the dish cools down. Either way it was a really tasty dessert.

Here are the ingredients:

Water 1/2 Cup or 100 ml

For Salzburger Nockerl:
Egg whites 6
Egg yolk 2
Sugar 1/2 cup or 100 g

Butter 2 tbsp

Place the pan in the middle of the oven
Bake for 9 mins and check for the top to be golden brown.
Optional sift powered sugar on top
