This is a distribution center warehouse belonging to a multinational corporation in the FMCG industry. The warehouse spans over 4000 square meters and currently employs forklifts and manned pallet movers. The pallet movers require at least one operator and have forks nearly 2 meters long. Pallet movers have poor visibility, which can easily lead to accidents if not handled with care.
Next Robotics offered a NextAMR pulling range, which was a demo solution for businesses, with a loading capacity of 1200kg. Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) will serve as an alternative to pallet movers, which are currently used to carry goods from the import stage (after picking up goods from containers/trucks) to the waiting area, where they are then taken to the shelves/racks of the warehouse.
