Does your voice recording sound a little distant and echoes, like it was recorded from afar in a big room? Too quiet also? Struggling finding ANYWHERE that explains how to fix this easily in Audacity, without being bamboozled and sent down the wrong path?

Well here I show you the quick and easiest way to do the following two things in Audacity:
1. Increase overall VOLUME using the 'Amplify' tool
2. Remove annoying ECHO with the 'Reverb' tool

Make sure you're using headphones to really distinguish the difference in sound when editing your audio; inbuilt PC, Mac or laptop speakers just don't cut it!

You'll find this video really helpful if you want to clean up and improve the quality of spoken voice in your audio file. Especially for if you couldn't record in a soundrecordingfriendly room (e.g. studio booth), with a proper quality microphone, and/or were a bit far from the microphone. I often use Audacity to enhance audio files. I thought I'd share another video with an insight into my secret, simple methods, cutting through the 'noise' of all the complex options and settings. That's because whenever I've searched elsewhere for videos or the inbuilt Audacity user manual, it's not intuitive or explained simply to someone (me) who doesn't know what all the technical audio speak all means. Not slating Audacity, the software is great when you know how to use it (and FREE!).
