This is the third and best version of my RC lawnmower progression... having learned to weld in the few past years, now I can take on much better structures as the base for my projects.... This mower is simply a steel frame that hangs a mower deck below it, and then wheelchair motors are mounted to the back. It's operated by a Sabertooth 2x30 motor controller and a standard RC transmitter. It all runs on a single 12v deep cycle battery and works really well! It's actually fun to mow the lawn! The motors and controller are designed to work on 24v, but even at the reduced speed of the 12v supply isn't really at all a bother. I mean, how fast does the mower really move when you're pushing it.....?
