My father, Ed Johnson, attended a presentation by Fred Rogers (better known as TV's "Mr. Rogers") around 1978 hosted by the Religious Public Relations Council for broadcast and communication students in St. Louis, MO.

Recently, Ed mentioned that he happened to bring a cassette recorder to the event. I asked if he still had it, which prompted a search.

After a day of searching his basement, he found the cassette. Unfortunately, he did not have audio of the entire event, but a substantial portion of the Q&A section was captured.

I contacted the current executive director of the Religion Communicators Council, Shirley Struchen, for more information on this event (particularly the date). Her response: "I am having hard time finding out any information. I have written to four past presidents and they do not have any info.... Most records I have hard copy of stop Feb 1979."

Given that Fred Rogers rarely gave interviews, and that this audio appears to be the last record of this event, I've decided to post it publicly for the benefit of anyone who may find it useful or informative.
