Come Off Conqueror - Abuse & Trauma Support

What's the difference between rape, date rape and sexual assault? What is consent? What are the other forms of abuse? How do you know if you've been abused? What do you do to start the physical and emotional healing after such a traumatic event?

These are all questions I get asked A LOT. So, in this episode of Come Off Conqueror I will answer these common questions.

We are going to talk about different types of abuse, some that are never talked about. We will discuss consent because it's so important to understand that no matter what stage of physical contact is currently going on when we say no, it mean no. If a partner continues on farther after that, you are not in consent.

We are going to tell you exactly what will happen when you report a rape or sexual assault. And we don't end there... we will give you some amazing resources to help you start the healing process. Because you can heal, you can take back your power. God loves you and he will help you to overcome this.

Please share this video with someone that you know who's been through date rape or sexual assault... or even who experience a prodigal journey and needs to know they can find a home in God's arms again.

ABOUT THE COME OFF CONQUERER CHANNEL:
There are a lot of resources for overcoming trauma and abuse in all its forms, but not enough that include God in the healing process... for many of us, God is central to our healing journeys...

Isn't it time we gave God credit for helping us make beauty rise from the ashes?

We CAN overcome the trauma. We CAN CONQUER the evil that has been done to us... God can, and does, help us do just that.

While many of us struggle with our relationship with God because of the trauma, ultimately reconciling with Him and recognizing Jesus Christ as our Savior is what helps us find healing and lasting peace. We recognize that it is God who puts people, resources and many other useful tools in our paths to help us find relief to our suffering.

This channel shares survivor interviews focusing on their unique healing journeys and often how they came to know God through the struggle and how He was central to their healing, leading them to different therapies, books, podcast, tools and resources.

The channel also provides interviews with therapists, authors, healers, practitioners other resources that help us find peace and joy.

*** PLEASE NOTE: Healing is a process, and many viewers may be triggered by the things discussed on this channel...

But, I have come to learn that triggers aren't necessarily a bad thing. Triggers are your body's way of telling you that something is wrong, and that you have some work to do.

Listen to your body. If you feel triggered, uncomfortable, or upset by an interview, then I suggest you do the following:

1. Pause the video and take a few deep breaths (in through your nose & out through the mouth, slowly)
2. Repeat the mantra "in this space, at this time, I am safe" a few times slowly
3. Do any other calming techniques that usually help you, such as praying or listening to calming music (I love to listen to praise music, such as Zach Williams "Chain breaker" or Lauren Daigle's "Rescue")
