Sticking to a food budget can be really hard! As well as sticking to our budget, I try to use it to shop as mindfully as possible of the environment, people in production and growing, and our personal health. With my husband working abroad, I’m staying within £25 per person on average for each week and to shop organic, fairtrade and more sustainable options on that budget takes a lot of planning and juggling. But it’s possible! This is exactly the kind of thing I buy in an average week to stay on that budget.

For pantry staples we LOVED Azure Standard. Especially if you live in an area with a high cost of living and food prices, these don’t change with location. You can buy larger bags of things like flour, rice and beans and pay a really good price. You have to find a local drop but they’re all over the US and we loved the system.
