Since that video and the sale announcement, Beautycounter have made another massive announcement: They're closing their doors. For now. We're also more aware of the financial viability of the Beautycounter brand and the assets acquired in the sale, spoiler: it isn't good. If you're not familiar with the idea and common process of private equity investment, this is a great reel explaining the reality: It became clear that like many companies in the same shoes, Beautycounter was not doing well. And Carlisle wanted to sell.
