After last weeks doublefront wheel loader teardown, I needed something a little... how do I say this, easier? I needed a break so I fell back on one of the easiest engines I've done on the channel, a good ole LS architecture V8, the 5.3L Iron block LM7 found in 9907 Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe, suburban, Sierra, avalanche and escalade.
This poor engine wasn't tortured, it was neglected. This scenario is absolutely 100% without a doubt avoidable with some CHEAP oil changes. This type of neglect will kill even the most resilient engines.
