My Carnivore Diet Experience: 14-Week Progress Report with Fasting Labs

Follow
Retirement Ramblings

This video details my progress in week number 14 of my Carnivore journey. It also details the before and after results of my fasting labs contrasting before Carnivore to after 90 days on Carnivore. Lastly, I do a quick grocery haul review of what I purchased this week for my Carnivore meals.

Today is day 98 on the Carnivore Diet; It's Saint Patrick's Day. That's 99 days without sweeteners, bread, pasta, rice, beans, legumes, packaged food products of any kind, and no soda (only water and green tea).

As a type 2 diabetic, my goal is to use the Carnivore diet/lifestyle to reverse my Type 2 diabetes. This means my primary goal is not weight loss (although I'd like to get down to 155 lbs if I had my druthers) but lowering and stabilizing my blood sugar with an A1C target of 5.5 (average fasting glucose of less than or equal 110), "normal" triglycerides and cholesterol, and to increase my HDL cholesterol so that I can live a drugfree lifestyle as I move forward toward retirement where my diet helps my body stave off the ailments that often come with old age.

I have added some approximate time codes below if you want to skip any sections.
