Started having problems rotating key to start and steering wheel being locked. I had rebuilt and lubricated cylinder and still could not get key to turn to ON after fully installing steering wheel components back on. I didnt understand what was happening. So after careful study of internal part movements, I decided to remove that spring loaded tab. It wasnt letting lock fully travel down all the way. Lock mechanism now fully disengages when key is turned on.
