About Stefan Walters:

Stefan is an expert in attachment, intimacy, and complex traumatic stress, specialising in Couples Counselling and Family Therapy. With advanced training in various therapeutic approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), he has honed a unique, relational and phenomenological psychotherapeutic style. He offers a comprehensive range of therapies for issues like bereavement, mood disorders, and addictions, leveraging both relational and somatic frameworks. Stefan earned his Masters in Counselling Psychology from San Diego State University and has years of experience as the Clinical Lead for Addictions within the NHS.

Affiliated with numerous professional organisations including the British Psychological Society and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Stefan is a recognised authority in addiction, trauma, and relationships. Before transitioning to private practice, he has contributed to international conferences, workshops, and media outlets like The Guardian and the BBC.
