Christian apparitions gradually replaced preHispanic beliefs and images. One of the earliest examples is the syncretism of Mayahuel, the goddess of pulque, with the Virgin of the Remedies. In this video, we'll discuss the details of their apparitions, as well as the blending of beliefs.
