Sherri’s Heavenly Apothecary

Hello, welcome to Sherri’s Heavenly Apothecary, I’m Sherri. Today I’m teaching you how to make lovely lavendershea face soap with stepbystep instructions and the recipe! This is a lovely all natural face soap with beautiful lavender essential oil and shea butter as the highlight of the bar, as they both provide such rich beneficial properties for the skin! This face bar will pamper the delicate skin on your face and provide moisture and hydration that will leave your skin feeling soft and supple, as well as cleansed. I hope you give it a try!

Here is the recipe as promised:

For soapcalc.net: This is a 32 oz batch, with a 7% super fat, and 35.7% water discount.

This calculation will fit perfectly into the mold I am using, you can find them here: https://a.co/d/i7GghA5

If you want to make a larger batch just put in the size of the batch you want to make; ounces, pounds, or grams, into soapcalc.net and use the oil/ butter percentages given below.

Lye Solution:
4.29 oz Sodium Hydroxide(food grade if possible)
11.42 oz Distilled Water
2 tsp Sodium Lactate (added to lye/water solution after it has cooled down to 130* or under)

Oils/Butters:
21% 6.72oz Coconut Oil
5% 1.6oz Cocoa Butter
9% 2.88oz Avocado Oil
7% 2.24oz Castor Oil

9% 2.88oz Shea Butter (melt separately and put in soap batter at light trace)
