That is why I am teaching Music
Not because I expect you to major in Music
Not because I expect you to play or sing all your life
But so you will be Human.
So you will recognize Beauty.
So you will be closer to an infinite beyond this world.
So you will have something to cling to.
So you will have more Love, More Compassion.
More gentleness, More good.
In Short, More Life.
Some times Music is the only Medicine the Heart and Soul need.
Children in School band, Score 19% higher in English,
17% higher in Mathematics, They use their brain more than those without Music Education.
When you are 90 years old just like some of my lovely Students, probably won't playing Soccer or Football, Or doing Gymnastics or dancing hip hop.
But you'll still be able to play the Piano.
Let's understand how to read the International Language, Music is the only International Language all Countries, in the world can reading it, the same without talking to each other, what ever language you are talking and the others can't understand what you are saying but when you look at the Music Sheet all of you reading same notes and playing same keys. Every country reading same notes but some country call it different, but not too much difference, for example, part of Europe saying Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si or Ti, and another country say it H.
Same notes or keys in USA and other Countries calling it by letters, C D E F G A B
Some Countries are teaching the Students with both, which's the same I will do with you, Let's know both ways to make it easy to everyone understand whatever and wherever country you are living or going to read or playing Music, you need to know it doesn't matter where or what or how the other Musician or Student saying the name of the key or the note it is the same one, for Example, If I say Middle C, it's in another countries it is Middle Do, I believe we don't need to talk same language to understand where I can find the note or the key, every country having their own language to talk to each other to know what they need to do, but in Music we can have the conductor from country and the Orchestra members every one from different country and no one talk the other members language but all of them playing the same Music without talking to each other because the notes and keys all of them same in all the world. So, when you read Music , you are reading the only International Language in the world all of us can read it the same and translate it on the instruments we are playing. I will teach you how to read Music, but before you start reading the notes we need to know that Music not only notes but we are having also rhythm, which's the other important thing we need to learn how we can play the Music notes and keep it in the right timing, every one of us was born with rhythm inside him or her, our heart beats is rhythm, every time the heart pulse rate same timing, it's exactly like when I am listening to a song and start clapping with it, or moving my head or moving my body, this is the rhythm, the timing, not every song having same timing, that's why we need to understand and learn the Rhythm and know when I need to hold the Music Notes and when I need to play it faster or slower. Another thing we need to learn about Music before we start understand about how to read the Notes, and finding the keys on the instruments and learn the Rhythm, we have to know that there is a dynamic, or the expressions, it is very important to know that the Dynamic is how the music can be load or soft, for example, we can listen to a piece of music and find out it could be load all of the sudden, or some times it could be softer or slower at the end, this is a dynamic, if we hear it soft it's (P) Piano, ( not the instrument ) Piano here means soft, the dynamic and most of the words we are using in Music is Latin, when we hear the music went load all of the sudden, this is (F) Forte, etc. we will talk about all this in our classes gradually and step by step. Let me tell you also that , I will teach first Music Theory then after awhile we can start to know where is every note and key on the Piano, why the Piano? Because Piano is the king of all the Instruments, When you know how to play Piano it will be so easy to play any other instrument, also if you know how to play Piano you can sing better and can warm up your voice by yourself before singing.
