When asked by reporter Chris Megerian about whether she would be able to step up and assume the responsibilities of the office in the light of Joe Biden's age, Harris confidently said: 'Yes.' Further elaborating, she added: 'Every vicepresident understands that when they take the oath, that they must be very clear about the responsibility they may have: to take over the job of being president. I'm no different'.
