The drive from Kahului Airport to Kaanapali Maui is a scenic route that takes you by the west Maui mountains and along the ocean. Depending on the traffic and the means of transportation, the drive can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours.

If you choose to drive by car, you will need to follow the HI380 and HI30 highways for about 28 miles. You can rent a car from the airport in advance.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi or a shuttle bus from the airport to Ka'anapali. The average cost of a taxi is $95 to $140, and a shuttle bus is $35 to $55 per person.
